Dates can be changed for individual groups.

Photo tour of the Tien-Shan and the Pamir – “Landscapes” GeoExplorersTeam offers many ways to improve your photography skills in a variety of natural conditions. One of them is our photo tour. It was designed for beginners, amateur photographers of all levels, as well as for those with experience, but interested in improving their skills. Our tour is for those who are used to traveling with their camera. So you bought a new camera and do not know where to test it? To do this you need a variety of day and night landscapes as well as different weather conditions. You need natural contrasts, unexpected plots from the life of peasants and nomads.

Therefore, there is nothing better than to explore Tien-Shan with a camera in hand in a group of researchers, biologists, geologists, historians, or ordinary tourist photographers. This trip is a photo tour seminar. With experienced local photographers, you will not only capture the natural panoramas and landscapes, natural heritage, rare animals and endemic plants, but also look behind the scenes where the ordinary life of the highlanders takes place.

Tien-Shan is a good and well accessible place, where you can see most of the diverse landscapes that exist on Earth. Kyrgyzstan is a developing Tien-Shan country. Here in the countryside, you can observe the life of ordinary peasants who grow cotton in the valleys as well as to observe the mountain lives of nomads who herd cattle, for which today there is a change of lifestyle, from nomadic to modern society.

This photo tour is an opportunity for you to look at the world from a different perspective. This is an exciting activity when in a group of researchers. This trip is an opportunity to see unknown remote wild places that are not visited by ordinary tourists. This is an opportunity to see the history, culture and life of the people. To see the unique natural landscapes that people do not notice in their everyday life. During the trip, we use 70% of our time for photographing and only 30% of the time to analyze photos and for seminars. In our trips you will have a daily dose of positive atmosphere, sharing experiences and impressions.

In the group usually there are amateurs and professionals, where through the exchange of experience you can effectively master your skills and techniques of photography, with an experienced photographer or independently. We create the conditions for an effective trip. Usually after a trip, we send a local resident some of our photos with their images on the background of the surrounding nature.

Thus, the locals begin to perceive their native nature from a different point of view. They begin to understand its true value and beauty. As we said, we will show you the best places in the country that are not visited by ordinary tourists. Some wild places are located in remote places far from civilization. But the time will come, and these places will also become objects of active visits. So now you have a chance to take pictures in pristine nature. During the trip we will stop wherever possible for photos.

The duration of the tour photo is 16 days. During this time, we will look at the natural and urban landscapes of the western and southern parts of the Kyrgyz Tien-Shan, as well as the northern edge of the Pamir. We will photograph and explore the essence of natural processes.

We will photograph people living in the semi-desert and in the high mountain alpine areas. We will photograph rare flora and fauna, and we will also see how natural colors change in the evening and in the morning when photographing in a savannah and on a glacier. For the trip, we will mainly use a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter mini-bus. In the difficult mountain conditions, we use an army 6WD off-road car. The most favorable period for the tour is May-August.
