Journey to the Pamirs to Lenin Peak and to the Stone Castles of Kozho-Kelen, Alay

During this contrasting journey, you will be able to see the southernmost seven-thousander on earth – Lenin Peak (7134 m). Alpine landscape, alpine lakes. Further, leaving the Pamirs, you will descend to an amazing place called Kozho-Kelen. Here, in the foothill zone against the background of gray limestone cliffs, magnificent red-colored stone castles are located. Kozho-Kelen is a potential geopark where you can visualize the geological history of the Earth. In this epic place, nature has created an amazing landscape.

Day 1. Bishkek – Toktogul – Osh

On the way we will visit the shore of the largest artificial reservoir in Central Asia – the Toktogul reservoir. Let’s examine the historical and architectural complex of the time of the Karakhanids of the 9th-10th centuries. in the city of Uzgen. Overnight at a guest house in Osh.

Day 2. Osh – Gulcha – Sary-Tash – Achik-Tash

In the morning, departure along the Pamir Highway, through the town of Gulcha to Sary-Tash (Alai Valley). Further arrival to the Achik-Tash valley. Excursion to the onion meadow. Contrasting landscapes of glaciers and alpine meadows. Accommodation in yurts.

Day 3. Achik-Tash – Gulcha – Kozho-Kelen

In the morning excursion to Tulpar-Kul lake. After lunch, departure towards the city of Gulcha. The path to Kozho-Kelen lies through the Murdash canyon. Along the way, you will observe grandiose canyons, gorges and river valleys. Accommodation in a guest house.

Day 4. Kozho-Kelen – Osh

In the morning excursion to Kozho-Kelen. “Blue Grotto”, stone castles, waterfall. After lunch departure to Osh. Free program, excursions in Osh. Accommodation in a guest house.

Day 5. Osh – Bishkek
