This photo tour is for those who love natural contrasts. The diverse wild places of Alay are colorful natural masterpieces that are located close by, you can touch them, feel them, and be part of them. Pamir history is different, it is filled with the monumental, great beauty of distant white stone giants. Despite all the severity of the nature of the Pamir weather, these natural pictures fascinate, beckon and call the best photographers for the best photo sessions, and if you’re lucky!

Day 1. Arrival in Osh

Meeting at the airport. Accommodation in a guest house – a traditional house of local residents. Excursion around Osh. Mount Suleiman-Too is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (the tour can also be rescheduled for the 7th day, depending on the time of arrival). Dinner at the ethno-chaikhana-restaurant.

Day 2. Osh - Kozho-Kelen

The tract Kozho-Kelen is a natural and ethnographic symbol of the Great Alai. In the morning we go to one of the most beautiful valleys of the Alai Range – Ak-Buura. The Ak-Buura River originates from the glaciers of the Alai Range. The river valley is full of contrasts and amazing landscapes. Multi-colored villages are scattered along the valley, which harmoniously fit into the overall landscape. At the beginning of the path, the Papan reservoir, sandwiched in a narrow gorge. Panorama of the Danga canyon and the Ferghana Valley from the edge of the cliff. Along the way we will stop to get acquainted with the surrounding nature. In the evening we will stay in a Kyrgyz guest house.

Day 3. Excursion of Kozho-Kelen

In the Kozho-Kelen tract we will make an excursion to the blue grotto and pink waterfall. Here you will plunge into the purity of untouched nature. The monumentality of the local landscape. Feeling of euphoria and calmness. Overnight at a local Kyrgyz guest house.

Day 4. Kozho-Kelen - Nookat - Chili-Sai

Early in the morning we return down along the river. Ak-Buura, through the small town of Nookat we go to the Chili-Sai canyon. Lunch in Nookat. Chile-Sai is a two-water landscape: a canyon and a valley. The sides of the gorge either narrow or widen. The local color is overwhelming. Return to Osh. Accommodation in a guest house.

Day 5. Osh - Pamir

The Pamir Highway is filled with contrasts and great photo opportunities. We cross the Alai Range in width (80 km), in translation Alai means “Motley Mountains”.

Ahead are the dissimilar Taldyk and Chigirchik passes, the height is about 3000 m. From the Taldyk pass, a panorama of the Northern Pamir and Lenin Peak opens, one of the most attractive seven-thousanders in the world – 7134 m. After the Taldyk pass we get to the Alai valley. The valley represents the geographical border between the Pamirs and the Tien Shan. Overnight in a guest house in the village of Sary-Mogol.

Day 6. Trip Achik-Tash 

The base camp is located at an altitude of 3600 m in the Achik-Tash valley right under the seven-thousanders – Lenin Peak. The valley is an alpine meadow in the lowlands of which numerous lakes are hidden. Walk in the vicinity of Achik-Tash. Excursion to the lake Tulpar-Kul. Excursion to “Lukovaya Polyana”, from where a magnificent view of the glaciers and the impregnable ice wall of Lenin Peak opens. Overnight in camping.

Day 7. Achik-Tash - Osh

On this day we will cross the Alai Range in the opposite direction, however, this is already a different angle and a different look at the landscapes. Contrasts of valleys and spurs, villages in floodplains and motley mountains of Alay. All this, on the way to Osh. Arrival in Osh by 16:00. Free time. Visiting museums, Saint Suleiman mountains, Oriental bazaar. City park along the Ak-Buura river. Overnight at the guest house. In the evening, eating pilaf in an ethno teahouse.

Day 8. Osh - airport
