ROUTE AND LOGISTICS

In order to take part in the expedition you need to come to Bishkek – the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Then we will head inside the Tien Shan to the small town of Kazarman, where we will replenish food. In Kazarman we will spend the night in a guest house.
In the morning, our car will deliver the expedition members to the mouth of the Kek-Irim valley, from where we will start our hiking route into the unknown. In 10 days we must cross the Ferghana Range and go to Arslanbob.

We recommend that you have good shoes for the mountains, as the route passes both through forest thickets and along a high-mountain zone with a height of more than 3000 m. The Ferghana Range is the most humid region of Central Asia, where even in summer you can get into heavy rain.

The expedition will end in the city of Osh, from where you can fly home with direct flights or with an air connection via Bishkek. Osh is the second city in Kyrgyzstan, located in the south of the country. Of the attractions in the city is the Holy Mountain Takht and Suleiman. The mountain and its associated cultural heritage sites are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
